Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Plans and Zoning of the Inspectional Services Department, the Plan Intake Supervisor directly supervises the processing of permit applications at Counter 2.
The Training Specialist works to reduce attitudinal and policy barriers within the City of Boston as an integral part of furthering the mission of the Commission on Persons with Disabilities. The Training Specialist works closely with Equity & Inclusion cabinet training staff, City departments, and community partners. Duties are performed under the general direction of the Chief of Staff, and directly reports to this position. One of seven staff members of the Commission team made up of the Commissioner, Chief of Staff, Architectural Access Director, Architectural Access Specialists, Outreach and Engagement Specialist, Program Manager, and Staff Support Specialist.

The position is designed for a motivated individual with strong training, facilitation, and research skills - and a passion for youth career & skill development and program innovation. This role will be responsible for providing youth with the development necessary to build upon their skills, abilities, and qualities to be prepared for transition into post-secondary options, and career pathways.

The Boston Public Library is seeking a part time (18 hour per week) Floater librarian available to work days, nights and/or weekends to staff public service desks. The Floater shall be assigned as needed to various locations throughout the Boston Public Library system.
Floaters are exempt from some but not all limitations on the Hours of Work provisions in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Basic Function:

The City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as Grant Manager. The position is funded under the Department of Homeland Security’s Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) program. The successful candidate will have strong project management, grant management, and communication skills, and will be responsible for supporting components of the UASI program. Under the supervision of a Project Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for staffing/supporting subcommittees tasked with oversight of Department of Homeland Security-funded investment areas and related projects within the Metro Boston Homeland Security Region (MBHSR) in order to promote and support the MBHSR cross-jurisdiction/cross-discipline homeland security strategy.
