Broadband and internet connectivity are essential for the 21st century. But for too many of our residents and businesses, service could be faster, cheaper, and more available. Fast broadband is vital to economic and educational opportunities; it connects our world-class universities and hospitals and is the engine that powers our digital economy. We need to improve broadband in the City of Boston, and we need someone to help drive the effort. The City is open to all solutions, from stimulating the private market to building public broadband infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director, the Deputy Director is responsible for advancing the mission of the Mayor's Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion and the Department of Supplier Diversity.
