The Equity and Inclusion Manager (“Manager”) of the Mayor’s Office of Housing will lead the design and implementation of Equity and Inclusion plans for their cabinet following the structure provided by the Equity & Inclusion Cabinet.
The mission of the Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH) is to make Boston a more equitable and inclusive city where all residents can thrive. MOH oversees programs that create and preserve affordable housing, support homeowners and renters, provide housing and services to homeless individuals and families, and develop city-owned property. The Mayor's Office of Housing seeks to carry out its mission through a lens of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion and addressing the effects of systemic racism in our city.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff or designee, the Equity and Inclusion Manager will provide the staffing, structure, and support to embed equity and inclusion strategies within the policies, programs and operations of the Mayor’s Office of Housing. The Manager will be part of a cohort of E&I Managers embedded in Cabinets across the City of Boston working to achieve equity and inclusion in their own cabinet’s policies, programs, and practices by operationalizing equity and inclusion processes and goals in a manner tailored to the cabinet. Managers will be in frequent communication with each other and the E&I Cabinet staff, particularly the E&I Network Program Manager, Director of Policy and Research, and Chief.
