The Deputy Director of Speechwriting reports to the Director of Speechwriting and will work closely with the Director, the Chief of Communications, and the Mayor to steward and refine the Mayor’s voice in conversation with the people of Boston. In addition to being an excellent writer and editor, skilled in both creative storytelling and logical argumentation, the Deputy Director will assist in managing the Speechwriting Team, as well as contribute to shaping the broader communications strategy for the Mayor’s Office.
