Starting in January 2019, all short-term rentals in Boston must register with the City. Enforcing the STR ordinance requires review of all new registrations, suspension and reactivation of registrations if there is a change in the compliance status, identification of non-compliant listings for platform removal, and research of incoming STR related complaints. Multiple technical solutions have been developed to support the program.
