The Equity and Inclusion Manager (“Manager”) of the Mayor’s Office of Housing will lead the design and implementation of Equity and Inclusion plans for their cabinet following the structure provided by the Equity & Inclusion Cabinet.
The Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) works to foster healthy, vibrant, and welcoming communities for all by ensuring stable, green, and accessible housing and the sustainable use of land. MOH oversees programs that create and preserve affordable housing, support homeowners and renters, provide housing and services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and develop city-owned property. MOH envisions a Boston where all residents have the homes and neighborhoods they need to thrive.
Reporting to the Director of Operations or designee, the Equity and Inclusion Manager will provide the staffing, structure, and support to embed equity and inclusion strategies within the policies, programs, and operations of the Mayor’s Office of Housing. The Manager will be part of a cohort of E&I Managers embedded in Cabinets across the City of Boston, working to achieve equity and inclusion in their own cabinet’s policies, programs, and practices by operationalizing equity and inclusion processes and goals in a manner tailored to the cabinet. Managers will be in frequent communication with each other and the E&I Cabinet staff, particularly the E&I Network Program Administrator, Deputy Chief of Policy and Programs, and Chief.
