This is a provisional appointment. 

 

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Under the direction of a Unit Supervisor, performs investigative, customer service, fleet processing, cashiering, and administrative work of a moderate difficulty in the investigating, processing, and audit of claims, inquiries, and transactions relating to parking and other motor vehicle violations, abandoned vehicles, resident permits, and related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes computer, payment processing computer system, workflow/imaging, and other available technology.
  • Assists in the provision of oversight and supervision of subordinate staff involving policies, procedures, complex computer systems and related systems, and equipment.
  • Assigns and reviews work of subordinate staff.
  • Compiles statistics and other material for reports, maintains records and files, and prepares and composes routine responses to customers.
  • Performs related work as required.

Required to work any emergency as directed by the Commissioner or designee.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of varied clerical and investigative work of more than the average difficulty involving the use of computer systems.
  • An associate's degree in business administration or a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
  • Skill in the use and application of computer terminals/devices relative to the entry and access of information is preferred.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the position.
