- Five plus (5+) years of experience related to supporting small businesses, housing advocacy, community engagement, community organizing, non-profit, or other related work.
- Strong organizing and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese, or other language skills beyond English preferred.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Existing knowledge of or the eagerness to learn complex material related to planning, zoning, disposition of real estate, and review of development projects.
- Strong strategic thinker. Experience creating engagement strategies that prioritize equitable engagement approaches.
- Strong systems thinker. Ready to create a new approach, tools, and resources to allow for consistent engagement.
- Strong project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize.
- Sensitivity and understanding of communicating with different language and cultural groups.
- Creative self-starter.
- Highly collaborative and flexible.
