The Superintendent of Trades is responsible for overseeing all skilled trade operations within the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. This role directs and coordinates the work of a multi-trades team, including carpenters, painters, welders, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and installation of park infrastructure. The Superintendent ensures that all activities meet high standards of safety, quality, and compliance with city policies while supporting the overall mission of preserving and enhancing Boston’s public parks and recreational spaces.
