Overview:

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations and delivery of core services at 6-8 community centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and evaluation of Center Directors within their respective region.
  • Serving as lead in addressing ongoing personnel and labor matters at BCYF sites as it relates to employee conduct.
  • Management of internal BCYF communications and data systems including but not limited to performance management reporting, data collection and general departmental communication.
  • Ensuring the safety standards of facilities and equipment through departmental procedures regarding facility usage and facilitating repairs and capital improvements where necessary.
  • Ensuring that sites within their region are supporting the programmatic needs of the community and adhering to established departmental program standards.
  • Supporting community centers as needed regarding program budget development, community relations, constituent needs and site management, including site council/advisory board collaboration.
  • A comprehensive understanding and enforcement of BCYF protocols and procedures as outlined in the BCYF Operations Manual and the City of Boston policies and procedures.
  • Facilitation of hiring, assignment and deployment of core staff within a region.
  • Coordinating and facilitating monthly regional meetings to discuss relevant departmental information and ensure timely communication of important deadlines and initiatives.
  • Assisting in the on-going development and implementation of BCYF's emergency response plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of management, supervisory and administrative experience preferably at a community center or other site-based community service provider.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of facility management including programmatic scheduling, technology and emergency response.
  • Experience with enterprise technology systems, including but not limited to MS Office and web-based applications.

Boston Residency Required.
