The Accreditation Assistant is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the accreditation proof of compliance and duties related to the re-accreditation programs, all aspects of the Boston Police Department's requirements that are necessary to obtain and maintain the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) and for performing administrative work with a minimal degree of supervision. The accreditation assistants report directly to the Accreditation manager. Prepares the bureaus for CALEA and MPAC assessments by coordinating accreditation activities and accomplishing assigned tasks consistent with the Department’s goals and standards established by CALEA and MPAC.
