Every year, millions of people interact with the City of Boston to do everything from finding information on City services to paying a parking ticket or starting a business. At Boston Digital Service, we believe these experiences should be easy to find, understand, navigate – even delightful.
Boston Digital Service sits within the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) and partners with City departments to improve the programs, services, products, and initiatives that make the City of Boston a great place to live. We’re a cross-functional team with a mission to improve the user experience of existing services, better engage and communicate with our residents, and build new systems to improve how the City delivers services.
We are seeking a Low-Code Digital Application Builder & Coach to join our Boston Digital Service. In this role, you will work with product managers, UI designers, and UX researchers to create digital applications for service delivery and internal workflows across city government. You should be comfortable translating business requirements into low-code applications and coaching budding no-code product owners to build and maintain their own applications. You should have expertise with Airtable and a passion for learning new low-code/no-code platforms.
Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they can perform every job description task. We are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may come from a less traditional background. The City may consider an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. If you are interested in applying, we encourage you to think broadly about your background and skill set for the role.
BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED - You must live within Boston city limits at the start of your employment.
