- At least four (4) years of professional experience in real estate appraisal or related field is required.
- Professional designation - MAA, CMA, CAE (Mass. Accredited Assessor, Certified Mass. Assessor, Certified Assessment Evaluator), and/or college degree in business, public administration, or related field preferred.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal, and project management skills preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of valuation methodology, including CAMA (computer-assisted mass appraisal) systems and appraisal of complex and/or specialized properties is preferred.
- Ability to make presentations and communicate effectively with the public and coworkers is preferred.
- Ability to prepare appraisal reports, management documents, analyses, and professional communications, including data and statistical information preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of assessing operations and departmental standards and goals is preferred.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on details as required by the job.
- A safe driving record and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license are required.
