Overview:

The Planning Advisory Council (PAC) was created by Mayor Michelle Wu in January 2023 via Executive Order to guide a shared vision for a green, growing, family-friendly Boston and coordinate public investment in the built environment to realize that vision. The PAC is an internal, collaborative body that coordinates planning, capital planning, and implementation and sets standards for public engagement in planning. The Council is chaired by the Chief of Planning and includes the Cabinet Chiefs of Housing, Streets, Arts & Culture, Economic Opportunity & Inclusion, Energy, Environment & Open Space, Equity & Inclusion, Finance, and Operations, along with additional stakeholders. Planning Advisory Council staff comprise a new division within the City of Boston’s Planning Cabinet.

Under the direction of the Planning Advisory Council’s Assistant Director, the Communications and Design Intern will support the creation and maintenance of public facing reporting, both digital and physical, that tells the story of the many investments and improvements the City has made in housing, schools, streets, parks, community centers, libraries, and other spaces and places our residents live, work and play.
