This is a provisional appointment.

 

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Under the general supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Building of the Inspectional Services Department, individual will supervise all activities of Plumbing, Gas and Sprinklers Inspection Division. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating service requests with utility companies as required and for enforcement of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Gas and Plumbing Code.
  • Performs related work as required. 

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years experience as a plumbing, gas, or sprinkler inspector.
  • Master plumber's license preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, gas, and sprinkler codes.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.

C.O.R.I check required.

BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED
