Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
The Boston Transportation Department is seeking a New Mobility Planner to develop and oversee programs to manage new mobility options in Boston.
Reporting to the Commissioner of designee, the New Mobility Planner is part of the New Mobility team and works with constituents, city staff, property owners, and new mobility providers to create and implement innovative approaches to manage the changing transportation landscape.
The New Mobility Planner addresses a variety of concerns about transportation’s interface with urban design and the public realm and envisions and implements cutting-edge initiatives in a changing transportation environment where needs, resources, and opportunities vary enormously.
Responsibilities include:
Required to work any and all emergencies as directed by the Commissioner or designee.
