Under the guidance of the Program Manager and with the support of office leadership, this position works to improve equitable access to nutritious food with respect to affordability, physical accessibility, educational awareness, and cultural appropriateness.The program coordinator will provide recruitment, training and outreach and other program coordination and operational support in all aspects of the Double Up Food Bucks program and other initiatives, including Farmers Markets coupons, that support access to affordable, healthy food and regional food systems. The program coordinator will focus on the expansion and sustainability of programs, conduct outreach to the community to increase awareness and support program evaluation. The program coordinator will support the program manager with recruitment, training and outreach, program and operational support and evaluation as follows:
The program coordinator will support the program Manager to develop new recruitment strategies, provide training and ongoing monitoring and support for food stores and farmers markets, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the program including financial organization, documentation and reporting, outreach material management and delivery and relationship management with partners across the City, and will also support field-based and office-based evaluation strategies, which may include developing and administering surveys, and reviewing and organizing program data.
