Senior Project Manager, Safe Streets for All Signals (Grant-Funded) is funded through the Safe Streets for All Grant. The position will be funded only through the final completion of implementation and closeout of the grant.
The Senior Legislative Assistant will support Central Staff with the administrative and legislative support of the Boston City Council, the legislative body for the City of Boston.
The athletic assistant shall assist in the development/implementation and supervision of recreation programs, sports leagues, special programs/projects and other activities for all patrons.
Under general supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty in planning, supervising and coordinating community center programs and activities.
This position works with BPL staff throughout the organization to ensure equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility principles remain at the forefront of service delivery, including collections, programming, outreach, partnerships, and procurement. Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with various library departments to understand their goals and enable their success. Draws on experience, data, and feedback to support, facilitate, and communicate EDI projects and policies throughout BPL.
Incumbents are responsible for providing advocacy services to older adults, which may include providing information and referral, processing benefit applications, conducting home visits, preparing reports, selling taxi coupons, monitoring follow-ups, and performing related duties.
The Communications Coordinator provides a supportive role in the implementation of the Commission’s Communications plan, working to ensure that older adults in Boston have access to important and relevant information. Responsibilities include assisting with all communications initiatives, products and services including print publications, web, social media and other online publications, media and public relations.
This is a temporary, grant-funded position, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Funds are expected to last through December 31, 2026, or when funds are depleted. The position may be extended based on operational needs if alternative funding is identified.
