Under the direction of the Assistant Traffic Markings Supervisor, the Traffic Markings Operations Foreperson supervises employees and performs work necessary for the installation and maintenance of traffic pavement markings, signs, delineators, and other traffic control devices in the public’s way.

Reporting to the Tree Maintenance Foreperson, General Tree Maintenance Foreperson, or a designee, the Tree Equipment Operator and Laborer (TEOL) will perform tasks related to the planting, removal, maintenance, and care of trees using hand and power tools, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Duties include planting, pruning, and removing trees and branches. He/she will also use climbing gear and equipment to climb trees, using chainsaws, hand saws, and tree trimmers to complete jobs. This is labor-intensive work and requires strong communication skills to safely work with all crew members at the various job sites throughout the City of Boston.
The City of Boston seeks to hire a Youth and Schools Manager to support the work of the Senior Advisor to the Mayor for Youth and Schools. This role collaborates closely with Boston Public Schools and other city departments, as well as partner organizations, to advance the administration’s priorities around youth and education. The Head Lifeguard's primary responsibility is the supervision of pool staff, patrons, and the entire pool facility in compliance with the local board of health regulations. The person in this position is responsible for guarding the pool, ensuring the safety of all patrons, enforcing the pool rules, maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions around the pool facility, and implementing the emergency protocols as needed. The Head Lifeguard is also responsible for administering aquatic programs and activities as set forth by the Department, including teaching swim lessons, coaching the youth swim team, supervising group swim activities, and assisting with other aquatic activities.
Under the supervision of the Comptroller, the Vendor Payment Manager, as a member of the finance unit, will be responsible for the following: manage weekly medical invoice processing on behalf of the City of Boston related to members retired under a disability retirement from the Boston Retirement Board in accordance with MA law and regulations.
Under the direction of the Senior Procurement and Grants Manager, the Procurement & Grants Manager oversees procurement and grant administration for the Boston Centers for Youth and Families, performing all related duties as required.
