The Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel (“ACC”) in the Government Services Division within the City of Boston Law Department serves as general counsel for the City of Boston’s various departments. The Senior ACC is responsible for comprehensive representation and support of city departments, including advising departments on a broad range of legal issues, reviewing and negotiating agreements, drafting policies and legislation, and all stages of litigation in both state and federal court. The Senior ACC must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent, clear, and effective writing skills, enjoy client interaction, be prepared to represent clients on a mix of advisory, transactional, and litigation matters, and have the ability to thoughtfully address new and emerging issues.
