The mission of the Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH) is to make Boston a more equitable and inclusive city where all residents can thrive. MOH oversees programs that create and preserve affordable housing, support homeowners and renters, provide housing and services to homeless individuals and families, and develop city-owned property. MOH seeks to carry out its mission through a lens of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion and addressing the effects of systemic racism in our city.
The Mayor has consistently stated that housing affordability in Boston is one of the top challenges the City must address. The Fellow will have a unique opportunity to analyze issues related to housing affordability and to create strategies and provide recommendations to the Chief of Housing and other senior leaders within the administration. In fulfilling these responsibilities, the Fellow will have an immediate opportunity to shape housing policy, real estate development, and neighborhood stabilization priorities that will improve the lives of Bostonians and shape the future of Boston’s neighborhoods.
