Basic Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Full knowledge of the ISO 17025 standards and ANAB supplemental requirements.
- Full knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Forensic Group.
- Extensive quality experience.
- Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Ability to design validation studies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise projects.
- Ability to make managerial decisions.
- Ability to problem solve / troubleshoot.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a natural science, forensic science, or closely related field required. Master’s degree in a natural science, forensic science, or closely related field preferred.
Experience – Minimum Qualifications
Five years of total laboratory experience including two years of laboratory management, forensic technical supervision or QA/QC management experience.
It is strongly preferred that applicants have:
- Knowledge of general forensic testing, techniques, and methods.
- Knowledge of the practices, techniques, standard test procedures and safety principles followed by and involved in a laboratory.
- Ability to understand, apply, and explain the provisions of the policies, procedures, specifications, standards, and guidelines governing assigned unit activities.
- Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of laboratory data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Ability to give oral and written instructions in a precise, understandable manner.
- Ability to write general, statistical, and technical reports.
- Ability to maintain records.
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK REQUIRED.
