Overview:

MOIA strives to strengthen the ability of immigrants to fully and equitably participate in economic, civic, social, and cultural life in Boston. MOIA also promotes the recognition and public understanding of the contributions of immigrants to the City.

 

We are seeking summer fellows for 2024. They will work closely with MOIA staff on various tasks to assist with the implementation, facilitation, and expansion of various MOIA initiatives and programs.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the coordination of MOIA hosted events e.g. Immigrant Heritage Month in June.
  • Attends and supports community cultural events, resource fairs etc.
  • Assist with other projects or tasks as needed.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of the diverse communities across Boston.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Zoom and Google Suite.
  • Bilingual in English and another language is a plus.
  • Boston Residency Required.

 

Terms:

$20 per hours, up to 20 hours per week.
