Overview:

Maintains and oversees the security of the building and participates in security duties, i.e., periodically checks doors and windows, and performs security and reception duties in the building as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises staff assigned to building security or maintenance programs.  
  • Supervises evacuation of building during emergencies, i.e., fire alarms, etc.; ensures building is secured at closing time.
  • Discusses space requirements, building security and program safety with building staff.
  • Schedules activities of outside groups, i.e., availability of time periods and space usage with facility to accommodate community center activities.
  • Prepares and submits monthly building reports.
  • Performs community relations work and maintains sign-in/sign out logs.
  • Performs related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Ability to coordinate and schedule diversified programs of educational, recreational, social and cultural activities for all residents of the community.
  • Ability to prepare building usage data and activity reports.
  • Ability to establish and enforce rules and regulations for the use of the facility.
  • Good knowledge of security and safety procedures.
  • Good knowledge of management, security procedures, scheduling of activities for a school facility.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and the general public.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
  • Must have and maintain a current MA driver's License.
