- Minimum of three (3) years of proven driving experience serving the public including those with limited mobility.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic. Punctual with strong attendance history.
- Knowledge of first aid & CPR preferred.
- Knowledge of Boston roads, traffic laws and regulations and attentive use of defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to operate wheelchair lifts.
- Familiarity with the use of GPS devices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicle types.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.
- Experience and comfortability working with diverse communities, delivering services to a multiracial, multigenerational, multicultural, and multilingual population.
- Professional, adaptable and friendly attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving ability.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
- Experience in typical office software systems (Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent) preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- A valid Mass driver’s license required.
- Excellent driving record (applicant must provide official driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles).
- Physical examination required, includes a pre-employment drug test.
