The Public Facilities Department provides professional project management services for planning,design and construction projects at City-owned buildings throughout Boston. We work in conjunction with, and on behalf of user agencies, by managing studies, renovation and new construction projects at buildings where City services are delivered. PFD manages a range of design and construction projects valued between $1M - $125M and planning projects ranging in value between $50k - $1M. PFD typically handles an overall caseload between 80-100 projects valued at more than $500M annually.
Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, the incumbent acts in a confidential capacity and serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Department to ensure effective personnel management and the development of human resource programs. Leads all processes related to human resources and payroll functions of the Department.
