Overview:

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Design, promote, monitor and supervise community pool program.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain pool equipment and supplies.
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health board.
  • Ability to operate pool filter systems, maintain appropriate water balance and supervise daily operation of a pool facility.
  • Supervise staff members and program participants during operational hours.
  • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of pool staff.
  • Prepare weekly time sheets and monitor attendance calendars.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Certification in ARC Lifeguard Training, ARC BLS-CPR, ARC Standard First Aid or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years experience in pool management.
  • ARC instructorship in the areas of Water Safety (WSI) and Lifeguard Training (LGT) are required.
  • Competitive swimming experience is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

C.O.R.I. and S.O.R.I. checks required
