Overview:

The Mayor’s Office of Early Childhood seeks an Enrollment Platform Project Manager responsible for the multilingual accessible portal enrollment platform project and a financial assistance pilot for homeless young children. Coordinate project requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, analyze data and expand community engagement aimed at informing the development and implementation of an enrollment platform to ensure equitable access to childcare in the city of Boston.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Office of Early Childhood, the Enrollment Platform Project Manager is responsible for managing the enrollment platform project to create a one-stop shop for enrollment and access to early education and childcare programs by developing and implementing an accessible, multilingual portal.
  • Responsible for the enrollment platform implementation from start to finish, to include but not limited to project management, collaboration with stakeholders, DoIT, platform vendors.
  • Coordinates special projects as requested by the Director, including those related to policy issues and external communications.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Office of Early Childhood and other Administration officials and external stakeholders.
  • Performs related duties as needed.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Three (3) to Four (4) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in early childhood enrollment practices or child care administration including two (2) years in a program management or project management capacity. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. A master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience.
  • Working knowledge of project or program management to include working across multiple community agencies and city offices.
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, Chinese and Vietnamese).
  • Experience with online enrollment systems, particularly the definition of scope and coordination of IT technical requirements preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office in addition to Google Suite.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize the most important and pressing work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an orientation toward culturally-relevant communication.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well and establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, other departmental staff, and external community agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on details as required by the job.
  • Excellent judgment, integrity and character, and ability to exercise discretion with sensitive information.
