This is a provisional appointment.

 

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Under supervision, serves as an instrument person in a field survey party

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in professional engineering work in the field and in the office.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Required to work any emergency as directed by the Commissioner of Public Works. 

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical or professional experience in Civil Engineering work in such areas as construction, surveying, hydraulics, design, transportation, structural, sanitary, environmental, drafting, highway or architecture. 
  • Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and be able to focus on detail as required by the job.

BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED
