This is a provisional appointment.

 

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Under the supervision of the Director, Office of Multimedia, assists in shooting photographs and videos; editing photographs and videos (audio & visual) utilizing contemporary software possessed by the Department.

Responsibilities:

Maintains photograph and video library; conducts research or utilizes knowledge & training to determine format, approach, content level to meet objective of photograph and video projects; implements & operates lighting equipment, audio-video recorder for studio & remote recording or video recording; writes copy and captions where needed to accompany photos for public distribution; must be proactive and able to coordinate with multiple internal and external contacts to prepare for events requiring coverage; travels to photo/video locations; ensures all equipment is in proper working order & performs related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year experience in the use of audio-visual equipment.  Working knowledge and ability to use video recording equipment, photographic cameras, projectors, photographic camera lenses, microphones and audio mixers, audio recorder and lighting equipment, video switches and monitors, photo and video editing software.  Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as a part of a team.  Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.

 

A valid Massachusetts Driver's license is required.
