Overview:

The Department of Innovation and Technology is looking for a Principal Clerk to support the day to day operations of the Department’s Office of Cable and Broadband.

 

Brief Job Description:

 

Under general supervision of the Director of Broadband and Cable, the Principal Clerk will have the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer/citizen relationship management (CRM) of receiving, researching, responding, tracking, and resolving citizen cable complaints.
  • Assists in video production, including field and studio videography, pre-production and post-production planning and editing; moves, sets up and dismantles equipment, cables, and lights; loads video tapes and digital media into cameras; etc.
  • Supports public meeting presentations.
  • Maintains video inventory and database.
  • Enters and collects data.
  • Assists in writing, editing, and maintaining the Departments digital content including, but not limited to: television and video production notices for electronic bulletin boards, programming and website.
  • Performs related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Applicant must possess at least two (2) years of full time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, preferably in work which included customer relations.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Professional Software Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Access, and Google strongly preferred.
  • Good communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of computerized video production systems and software for video transfer and web development preferred.
  • Ability to carry and handle approx. 50 lbs. of video equipment during field production.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.

 

BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED.
