Overview:

Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

 

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Area Agency on Aging, the Program Monitor will participate and assist in the coordination of Title III requests for proposal process, oversee contract compliance of Title III grants and maintain computerized data bases tracking grantee progress and units of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and evaluates title III grants.
  • Tracks and maintains statistical units of service assuring grantee goals and objectives are met.
  • Compiles monthly reports utilizing such information.
  • Prepares quantitative and narrative reports on programs.
  • Provides technical assistance and training in program development and operations to Community Agencies.
  • Responsible for statistical analysis of Federal (Title III) grants. Plans and coordinates special Area Agency on Aging events.
  • Facilitates Senior Center Task Force.
  • Performs related work as required.

Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in human services or related field required.
  • Knowledge of grantsmanship, cost benefit analysis and statistical ability required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and management skills preferred.
  • Proficient (or ability to learn) computer skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of elder services network preferred.
  • Knowledge of Boston's neighborhoods and demographics helpful.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
