Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources or designee, the Management Analyst is responsible for reviewing, administering, tracking and advising on leaves of absence and assisting in the processing of disability retirement claims.
Job responsibilities will include:
Applicants must have a minimum of four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time, paid professional experience in Human Resources in which two (2) years was managing leaves of absence, including FMLA and other federal and state leaves; experience with City of Boston leave policies and programs preferred; office management where the major duties involved managing, overseeing projects and exemplifying a high level of attentiveness to detail. Must be able to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job. It is strongly preferred that applicants have extensive experience with computers, Word, Access and advanced Excel and experience with medical terminology; a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field; and ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with all levels of management. Preference for experience with PeopleSoft or equivalent HRIS system.
