This is a provisional appointment.
Brief Job Description (essential functions of the position):
Under direction of the Unit Supervisor performs supervisory tasks, investigate customer disputes, data entry and administrative work of a difficult nature including the planning, assigning and coordinating of activities of investigative staff and support personnel in the investigation, processing, and audit of claims, inquiries and transactions relating to parking and other motor vehicle violations, abandoned vehicles, resident permits and related activities.
Conducts administrative in-person and exparte hearings within the Adjudication Unit.
Provides technical assistance to subordinate staff on policies, procedures and complex computer systems, imaging/workflow application and related systems and equipment.
Compiles statistics and other material for reports, maintains records and files, prepares and composes routine responses.
Performs related work as required.
Required to work any and all emergencies as directed by the Commissioner or designee.
Three (3) years of varied clerical and investigative work of more than the average difficulty involving the use of computer systems, one (1) year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
Skill in the use and application of computer terminals/devices relative to the entry and access of information is preferred.
Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Supervisory experience may not be substituted.
