Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
The City of Boston Treasury Department’s Trust Division is seeking an individual to help serve Boston neighborhoods and communities by assisting in the coordination of certain charitable assistance through the Trustees of Charitable Donations, a group of trusts in place to provide one-time assistance to residents in financial need. Cases will be handled by phone or in person. The Coordinator is in charge of conducting initial assessments of residents' situations to determine needs and goals, gathering relevant information about their cases, researching and advocating for other appropriate public assistance resources, and making referrals to other agencies and services both internal and external. The coordinator reports directly to the Trust Manager. The coordinator must be empathetic, but also be able to set boundaries, listen actively and ask pertinent questions, and possess strong communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Boston Residency Required.
