Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
The Community Choice Energy Coordinator will assist implementation of the City of Boston’s municipal aggregation program.
Municipal aggregation, also known as community choice energy, enables cities and towns to aggregate the buying power of individual electricity customers in their communities. Under an aggregation program, customers will have more control over the kind of energy they use in their homes or buildings, and the price of that energy. One of the goals of Boston’s aggregation program is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and champion the use of local renewable energy, supporting our commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The Community Choice Energy Coordinator will coordinate and execute outreach and communications strategies to support implementation of Boston’s municipal aggregation program. The Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director of Communications and Community Engagement and with the support of community partners and a team of consultants.
