Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Director of Technical Services leads the IT team and ensures that Assessing staff is well equipped with cutting-edge technology to support the Assessing Department’s goal of building a stronger and more efficient network environment. These efforts include everything from designing and deploying new applications for use by the Assessing staff, outside consultants, and City of Boston staff. The Director will also be responsible for identifying cutting-edge solutions, ensuring that all Assessing staff have the IT tools and training needed to do their jobs efficiently.
The Assessing Department’s technology environment has multiple moving parts, both internal database systems and external systems with the intent on moving toward consolidation into a new CAMA system. The Director should have a passion for maximizing the potential of our platforms and sharing their benefits with staff.
City of Boston Residency is required.
Union/Salary Plan/Grade: SENA/MM1-11
