  • Overview:

    This is a provisional appointment: 

    Brief Job Description(essential function of the job):

     

    Under supervision performs accounts payable, audit and general office functions acts as Customer Services representative.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Examines and verifies documentation that supports city-wide procurement and invoices transactions.
    • Enters and approves transactions in the BAIS financial system.
    • Analyzes discrepancies and recommends corrective actions.
    • Performs report reconciliation. 
    • Reviews, monitors and manages city-wide records.
    • Assists Departments and third parties in resolving a variety of issues related to the city procurement and vendors payments.
    • Assists all Auditing Department Programs by performing clerical verification and data entry tasks. Uses Microsoft Office applications. 
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

    Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time, office experience in work where the major duties include bookkeeping, data input,  data quality verification and general office experience. Experience in using Microsoft office Suite applications, specifically Word and Excel strongly preferred.  Experience with PeopleSoft, Inc. applications preferred; ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job. Appropriate education substitutions may be made
