    This is a provisional appointment.

     

    Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

     

    Supervise the Commission's reception area, welcoming and referring clients and/or visitors to the appropriate party while answering the Commission's telephone data base.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Supervise the reception area. 
    • Assists walk-in clients.
    • Information and referral services.
    • Receives and distributes Commission facsimiles.
    • Distributes daily mail.
    • Directs clients to proper units for required assistance.
    • Maintains and updates staff telephone numbers.
    • Maintains destination sheets.
    • Performs data entry as needed.
    • Xeroxes as necessary.
    • Participates with units projects as necessary.
    • Performs related work as required.

     

    Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

    • Two (2) years receptionist experience preferred.
    • High school Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Proficient (or ability to learn) computer skills preferred.
    • Strong communication skills preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills preferred.
    • Ability to operate multi-unit switchboard preferred.
    • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
