  • Overview:

    Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):

     

    The Driver will transport Boston senior's citizens back and forth to medical appointments, shopping groups and recreational activities. 

    Responsibilities:

    Via door-to-door service, the Driver provides prompt, courteous, prescheduled service throughout the City of Boston.

    Performs related work as required.

    Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

    Minimum Entrance Qualifications:

    • At least three (3) years driving experience serving the public and/or handicapped required.
    • Customer service experience preferred.
    • Excellent driving record (applicant must provide official driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles).
    • Must posses and maintain a valid Mass Drivers license (must physically present valid license).
    • Required to be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Excellent attendance and promptness in previous employment history.
    • Must be able to become bonded and have good moral character.
    • Knowledge of first aid & CPR.
    • Knowledge of Boston roads, traffic laws and regulations and attentive use of defensive driving techniques.
    • Physical examination required, includes pre-employment drug test.
    • Ability to operate handicap chair lift, deal effectively and courteously with elderly clients.
    • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
