Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Incumbents are responsible for providing advocacy services to older adults, which may include providing information and referral, processing applications, conducting home visits, preparing reports, selling taxi coupons, monitoring follow-ups, and performing related duties.
Provides timely follow-up to effectuate service into resolution.
Conducts all interaction in a positive and professional manner.
Processes application for services, ensuring client accurately answers appropriate areas. Evaluates eligibility according to established criteria and refers to appropriate agencies.
Handles client and applicant questions regarding programs and services offered to older adults.
Complies with the City of Boston Policies/Procedures protecting client information and the confidentiality of the information in accordance with the Federal and State regulations.
Assists with Commission events as needed.
Boston Residency Required.

Hours Per Week: 35 Hours
